Sreenivasa Prasad to come back to Congress
Mysore, July 14 (UNI) Former union minister and senior Janata Dal (Secular) leader V Sreenivasa Prasad today announced that he would rejoin the Congress shortly.
Participating in a meet-the-press programme organised by the Mysore District Journalists Association here, he said he had discussed with the Congress leaders in this regard and it was nothing but a homecoming for him. However, he did not specify any timeframe for joining the Congress.
Mr Prasad, who represented the Chamarajanagara Parliamentary constituency five times, said he had left the party only for personal reasons and was not against the Congress ideology.

He clarified that he bore no ill will towards the JD(S) and its President H D Deve Gowda as he had been in the party for a short period and that too away from active politics. ''Now the time has come to rethink and continue in active politics and work for the welfare of the State. I will remain in State politics only.'' UNI BSP GD PK DS1552
