Silver closes at an five-week high; gold at an 8-week high

Mumbai, July 14 (UNI) Prices of silver closed at an five-week high and gold zoomed up at an eight-week high, mainly on bullish advice from global markets, according to traders at the Bombay Bullion Association today.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade: Rs 18,300 (18,250), Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,940 (9,770), Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,990 (9,820).
