Seek International support against Pakistan:Venkaiah
Hyderabad, July 14 (UNI) BJP Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu today demanded that the UPA government at the Centre seek international opinion on Pakistan supported terrorist activities in India.
The UPA government should also mount pressure on Islamabad to dismantle the Jehadi outfits from Pakistan, he told newspersons here.
Stating that the Centre adopt a two-pronged strategy to stamp out terrorist organisations from the country, Mr Naidu said the Centre should enact stringent laws to curb the terrorist attacks and also seek international opinion against Pakistan, which was providing shelter to terrorist organisations creating panic in India.
Announcing that the BJP would hold nationwide agitation on July 15 and 16 against the serial bomb blasts in Mumbai, he said the party leaders from the states would submit a memoranda to President APJ Abdul Kalam through the respective state Governors, demanding that the UPA government give-up its ''soft approach'' on terrorist activities in the country.
Alleging that the internal security operations have become disfunctional in the UPA government, Mr Naidu said the Centre should change its ''mindset'' and conduct door-to-door search operations to find out the terrorist activities in the country.
The terrorist attacks on religious places, business centres and IT capitals were part of de-stabilising the country, he charged.
