Reuters cameraman wounded by rocket in Israel

JERUSALEM, July 13 (Reuters) A Reuters cameraman was wounded in the leg today in a rocket attack by Lebanese guerrillas on a city in northern Israel.

Rami Amichai was filming in the coastal city of Nahariya when the rocket struck nearby, sending shrapnel flying into his lower leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Hizbollah guerrillas have fired scores of rockets into towns across northern Israel, killing one civilian and wounding dozens of others in their heaviest bombardment in a decade.

Israel launched an air offensive on Lebanon that has killed at least 53 Lebanese civilians after Hizbollah guerrillas captured two Israeli soldiers and killed eight more near the border yesterday.
