Rape convict cop dismissed

Chhatarpur(MP), July 14(UNI) Police constable Shafat Beg, who was convicted in a rape case, has been dismissed from service.

Superintendent of Police Chanchal Shekhar dismissed the Constable posted at Sarai police station after a fast track court last week sentenced 7 years imprisonment and fine of Rs 1000 as Beg was found guilty of criminally assaulting a girl in May, 2003, police sources said.
