Rajnath to tour Vidharbha tomorrow

New Delhi, July 14 (UNI) Following Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Maharashtra, BJP President Rajnath Singh will go to the Vidharbha region of Maharashtra tomorrow for first hand information about the situation following a spate of farmers conditions in the region.

Sources said Mr Singh would visit Vidharbha and Yavatmal where at least 600 farmers had committed suicide so far, for various reasons, including indebtedness.

Mr Singh would meet the family members of the farmers to ascertain the reasons that had driven them to commit suicide.

The Prime Minister, during his visit to Maharashtra earlier this, month had announced an economic package for the farmers.

Before leaving for Vidharbha, Mr Singh would also address a rally to be organised by the party at Nagpur against the price rise and spate in terrorists activities in the country.
