NBA star keen for Indian coach's job
New Delhi, July 14 (UNI) NBA star of the yesteryears Robert Reid, who rubbed shoulders with the likes of Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Michael Jordan in his pomp, has expressed his desire to coach the Indian basketball team.
Reid had conducted a three-day basketball clinic for 40 coaches and 70 players at Ludhiana last month and revealed some other star cagers were also willing to conduct similar clinic here.
''Back home in US, people and former NBA players were curious to know the state of affairs. Infact, some of my fellow players have also expressed their desire to come and conduct clinics for various age groups in India,'' Reid was quoted as saying by a release from Score, a sports development and promotion concern.
