Monsoon active in WB and Sikkim
Pune, July 14 (UNI) The South West monsoon has been active in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and coastal Karnataka.
In the regions where the monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were below normal, as in some parts of West Rajasthan.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Orissa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and at many places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Konkan and Goa.
Rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in gangetic West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, East Madhya Praesh, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and South interior Karnataka, and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Bihar, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and North interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in West Rajasthan.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Vidarbha, Marathwada, Rayalseema and North interior Karnataka.
Rains or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep and at many places in Bihar, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, South interior Karnataka and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Telangana and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Haryana, East Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Mainly dry weather prevailed over West Rajasthan and Gujarat State.
