Minor brutally raped and killed in Gujarat

Surat, July 14 (UNI) An eight-year-old was raped, murdered and thrown on the banks of Tapi river near Varachcha.

The minor was a resident of Ramakrishna Nagar slum area in Kapodara here.

Her parents found her missing around 0300 hrs yesterday and began searching for her. They later found her body from the banks of Tapi river.

The body was mutilated and had wounds on the back and face.

The Police said she had been killed by drowning.

A case has been registered by Kapodra police and investigations are on.
