Left demands withdrawal of case against students

Hyderabad, July 14 (UNI) Left party leaders today met Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy and demanded that cases filed against student activists in the wake of protests against the hike in engineering fees in the state, should be withdrawn.

The minister said most of the arrests were preventive and there was hardly any non-bailable section. Mr Reddy also said he would interfere into the matter if any substantial cases were there.
