Kannur University Union finalises one-year programme

Kannur, July 14 (UNI) A three-day workshop on higher education, an international film festival and construction of a permanent theatre in the campus are among the programmes to be taken up by the Kannur University Union in the next one year.

The general council of the Union, which met here today, finalised the programmes.

Union Chairman K V Sumesh told a press conference it also planned to produce a campus film and undertake a campaign for a plastic-free campus.

He said youth festivals would also be organised in all the 84 colleges affiliated to the university.

State Planning Board Vice-Chairman Prabhat Patnaik will inaugurate the Union on July 18.
