Idol stolen from temple

Basti, July 14 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants have burgled an 'ashtadhatu' idol of Lord Ram and Sita estimated at Rs one lakh from a temple in Rudhuli town here.

Police superintendent Rahul Yadvendra today said a case had been registered against Harshvardhan Singh, who allegedly helped the culprit to decamp with the idol last night.

A manhunt had been launched, he added.
