IAF airlifts stranded army personnel to Srinagar
Jammu, July 14 (UNI) The Indian Air Force today airlifted about 800 stranded army personnel here and at srinagar due to landslide on the jammu-srinagar highway official sources said.
The operation was executed in the leadership of Group Captain J S Kler of the IAF, the sources added.
According to sources, a total of four an32 carries were pressed in to service from local air base in the shortest possible time to facilitated the smooth airlift of all the army personnel who had been stranded for the last four days.
