GETIT Yellow Pages to expand forey in South

Tiruchirapalli, Jul 14 (UNI) GETIT Infomediary Limited, India's largest official directory and Yellow Pages publisher is planning to expand its forey in South India.

Addressing newspersons after launching the company's operations here today, Deputy General Manager R Srikanth said the company, which was bringing out 28 directories covering 32 cities and surrounding districts across the country would increase the publication of directories to 36 before end of this fiscal.

The company would release 100 volumes before the year 2010 covering the maximum area across the Indian sub-continent.

He said Tiruchirapalli editions, which would be brought out on November 2006, will cover Tiruchirapalli, Karur, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Pudukkottai and Perambalur districts. The company would distribute 50,000 copies of books and 12,000 CDs free of cost to affluent households, business and industrial houses.

Mr Srikanth, also in-charge of Tamil Nadu and Kerala said the company within six months, entire Tamil Nadu would be covered. The GETIT operations in Nilgris district would commence in another two months. The directory covering Erode and surrounding districts would be ready in February-March 2007.

For the last 12 years in Kerala, a directory covering areas of Kochi, Idukki and part of Allepey was already in circulation and the company was anxious to penetrate on a fast track mode in the state.

Directories for Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam would be ready before March 2007. The directories for other areas like Kottayam and Pathanamthitta would be completed in six months and for Trichur and Palakkad it would be ready in another eight months, he added.
