Freedom-fighter Vispute no more
Kopargaon, Maharashtra, July 14 (UNI) Senior freedom-fighter K D Vispute (93) died of old age here. He is survived by two sons and four daughters.
Vispute was the senior campaigner of the Rashtra Seva Dal. He was the advisory member of 'Sadhana' magazine of the Rashtra Seva Dal. He worked with senior freedom-fighters like S M Joshi and N G Gore.
Vispute suffered 18-month imprisonment during the 'Quit India' movement in 1942. He was one of the founders of the Grampanchayat Employees' Association. He was incharge of the Rashtra Seva Dal's Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh units. He had been conferred the 'Yogacharya' degree for his contributions to spread of Yoga.
Vispute also worked as the senior campaigner of Rashtrabhasha Hindi Prachar Sabha, Pune. Former Union Minister Balasaheb Vikhe Patil and former Education Minister Shankarrao Kolhe expressed grief over Vispute's death.
