Former AIADMK Minister joins DMDK
Tiruchirapalli, Jul 14: The former AIADMK Minister and founder-president of Tamizhar Bhoomi(TB) K P Krishnan joined Desiya Murpokku Dravidar Kazhagam (DMDK) with his partymen here last evening.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Krishnan said river Cauvery has joined hands with river Vaigai for the welfare of the people, implying that Mr Krishnan belongs to Trichy district, where Cauvery is passing through, while the DMDK founder Vijayakanth, hails from Madurai district, where Vaigai is passing.
Mr Vijayakanth welcomed Mr Krishnan by presenting him a shawl, marking the formal merger of TB with DMDK.
Mr Krishnan is the second senior leader to follow the footsteps of the former AIADMK leader Panruti S Ramachandran in joining DMDK.
Mr Vijayakanth said following the joining of Mr Ramachandran and Mr Krishnan, MDMK strength has increased.
He alleged that though there was a new Government in Tamil Nadu, the situation remained unchanged, with the continued sufferings of the people.
