New Delhi, July 14 (UNI) An official of the Food and Supply department has been arrested allegedly for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 7,000, police said today.
Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum officer Rajender Singh was arrested red handed yesterday while accepting the bribe from complainant Jagdish Prasad, who runs a kerosene depot at Kanheya Nagar.
According to the Anti Corruption Branch of the Delhi Police, Rajender had demanded the money from Jagdish as illegal gratification otherwise his depot license would be cancelled.
