Downpours lash north eastern MP
Bhopal, July 14 (UNI) Downpours lashed several parts of north eastern Madhya Pradesh overnight, while the rest of the state experienced dry weather.
Meteorological department spokesperson said monsoon is expected to gain momentum in the state due to an upper air cyclone, built over West Bengal.
Rainfall lashed some places in Sagar, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Chambal divisions.
Panna and Ater received five cm rainfall overnight, while a rainfall of three cm was recorded in Satna, two cm each in Datia and Bhandare.
Showers accompnaied with lightning was predicted in Rewa, Sagar and Jabalpur divisions in the next 24 hours.
