CPI, CPI(M) protest against Mumbai bomb blasts
Bangalore, July 14 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (CPI) and Communist Party of India (Marxist) today staged a protest in the city against the serial bomb blasts in Mumbai, which claimed the lives of about 200 people.
Addressing the agitators, CPI Bangalore District Secretary Harigovinda said the serial blasts in Mumbai and grenade attack in Srinagar were acts of terrorists to disturb peace. ''All sections of the people should stand united and defeat such forces trying to create terror in the society,'' he added.
Both the Union Government and the Maharashtra Government should intensify their intelligence wing to unearth the evil designs of terrorists and root out terrorism from the country, he added.
CPI(M) Bangalore District Secretary K Prakash, in his address, appealed to the residents of Bangalore to come together to express solidarity with the Mumbaikars and fight for maintaining communal harmony.
