Cong MP's gunner shot at, wounded

Varanasi, July 14 (UNI) The private gunner of local Congress MP Rajesh Mishra was allegedly shot at and gravely wounded near Bhopapur Bazar in Cholapur area here.

Police said today Anil Mishra (36) was shot at by two motorcycle borne assailants late last night.

The miscreants fled the scene.

Police later took Anil to hospital, where his condition was stated critical.

A long pending water dispute between the family of the victim and others in the Chota Gosaipur village was suspected to be the reason behind the crime.
