Centre allots 49,000 houses under JNNURM : Minister

Hyderabad, Jul 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Information Minister Mohd Ali Shabbir today said the Centre had alloted 49,000 houses for the poor under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM)in the state.

Speaking to newsmen here, Mr Shabbir said 20,000 houses would be constructed for the poor at the rate Rs 80,000 per house in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad during this year. The State Housing Board would take up the project.

The MLAs belonging to the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad had expressed their willingness to allot the houses to the real beneficiaries without any political invlovement and pressures, he said.
