Case against hoax bomb caller
Indore, July 14 (UNI) A case has been registered against a girl, who had sent police into tizzy when she made a hoax bomb call on July 1.
A case was registered against Chhattisgarh's Bhilai-resident Aarti Rai, who was earlier arrested in this connection but was let off, by the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
Aarti had called up police control room on July 1 and identified herself as Aparna. She informed about the presence of a bomb in the Jammu Malwa Super Fast train. Police and RPF searched the train and found the call hoax.
Police traced Aarti from the mobile number she had used to make the call. Aarti said she had made the call after she heard some youths talking about it.
Believing her to be innocent, police let Aarti off.
However, in the wake of Mumbai blasts, a case was registered against the caller under sections 145 and 146 of the Indian Railway Act and section 182 of the IPC.
