Burqa-clad man held at Sahar airport
Mumbai, July 14 (UNI) City police arrested a man on grounds of suspicion when he tried to enter the Sahar international airport here wearing a 'burqa' last night.
The man, identified as Mohammed Illiyas (35), has been booked under section 122 of Bombay Police Act and will be produced before the Metropolitan Magistrate court, Andheri later today.
According to police, Illiyas, a commercial pilot, was nabbed when he tried to enter the airport wearing a 'burqa', reportedly to receive his friend coming by a London-Mumbai flight.
Police have steppedup security at airports and other sensitive points in the metropolis following the serial bomb blasts here on July 11.
