BJP to take action against Chaoba: V Satish

Imphal, Jul 14 (UNI) Manipur BJP Zonal Secretary in-charge of North East V.Satish said today that the party will take action against former Union Minister T H Chaoba at an appropriate time.

Speaking to mediapersons at the BJP office here, Satish said, ''The BJP could not actively contest in any election after the militant organisation Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) asked the BJP to expel T.H.Chaoba from the party.'' T H Chaoba had resigned as president of the BJP after militant organisations threatened him. However, the KYKL had demanded that he should be expelled from the party completely.

MLA Bhorot said he, along with Manipur BJP President H.Borobabu, Danny Shaiza and BD Behring also discussed the matter with the BJP chief Rajnath Singh and the party would take a decision before the assembly elections in Manipur.

Satish further said the party would try to attract more party workers.

A party election would be held soon and M.Bhorot has been made the Returning Officer, he added.
