A NSCN-IM cadre killed in Kohima

Kohima, Jul 14 (UNI) One NSCN-IM cadre was killed in an inter- factional clash of NSCN in Lerie area of Kohima town yesterday.

There were reports of firing in the Lerie area yeterday, but no body could confirm about the casualty.

The incident came to light when the NSCN-IM in a release last night condoled the death of one of their cadres in an inter-factional clash.

Unofficial sources said some suspected NSCN-IM cadres were on a hunt of their rivals in the Lerie area and entered in a private residence in search of their rival cadres.

However, they were suddenly attacked that left on NSCN-IM cadre injured. The other cadres reportedly rushed the injured to a private nursing home where he was declared brought dead.

In another incident, police arrested two cadres of the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) along with two weapons at Razhu point of Kohima town during a frisking operation yesterday.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in and around this capital town following the sneaking of cadres of various factions of undergrounds.
