2 killed, 7 injured in road mishap

Hubli, July 14 (UNI) Two persons, including an old woman, were killed and seven injured when a State Transport Corporation bus collided with a tractor at Kerkalkatti cross in Bagalkot district of Karnataka today.

Police said the bus was on its way to Bagalkot from Hubli when the mishap occurred.

The deceased were identified as tractor driver Vithal Kolekar (22) and Mallawwa Kukani (60), who was standing at the Kerkalkatti cross.

The injured, who were passengers of the bus, were admitted to the district hospital at Bagalkot.
