Ulemas extend complete support

Mumbai, July 13 (UNI) Maulanas of various Muslims body today expressed their firm commitment to peace, and extended complete support to the government in the hour of crisis orchestrated by people who hate peace and value of human life.

Addressing reporters this evening after having a day long meeting with Maulanas of different Muslim organisation, Maulana Syed Ali of the All India Jamait-ul-Uleima said that serial blasts on suburban trains on Tuesday are a great shock to the entire community.

We stand ''shoulder to shoulder'' with all the Mumbaikars at this hour of grief. We, the ulmeas reiterate full support and stand on this crucial issue and strongly condemn the perpetrator of this henious crime.

Maulanas of various muslims body today met State Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and assured complete support to restore peace and appealed the state government to crack down on the culprits responsible for the serial blast in suburban trains.

Maulana said that we the followers of Islam whose holy Prophet prohibits attack on women, children or aged people even in times of war so if innocents are attacked without any reason, their place is ''Hell'', he firmly stated.

However he said that it is very sad to note that a onesided publicity sweeping across the country inducting Muslims behind this tragedy forced us to come before the media to disclose our stand. He said that Indian Muslims firmly believe that security threat to our country is a threat to all fellow countrymen including Muslims.
