Two students taken into custody for pelting stones at buses

Chennai, Jul 13 (UNI) Police took into custody two students of a private catering college for allegedly pelting stones at two buses of the Metropolitan Transport Corporation, in which the windscreen of the buses were damaged at arterial Anna Salai in the city today.

Police said two groups of students travelling in a city bus picked up a quarrel with each other. This was questioned by the bus conductor. Protesting against this, the students got down from the bus when it halted at a stop and pelted stones at the buses, causing panic among the commuters, as well as the passers-by.

The crew of the bus stopped the vehicle on the spot and informed the matter to the police.

Police rushed to the spot and took into custody the students Balaji and Sathish.
