Three child labourers rescued
New Delhi, July 13 (UNI) Delhi Police today rescued three children from the Usmanpur area, who were being employed as labourers in a embroidery factory housed in a small room.
The three children, who are residents of Sitamarhi in Bihar, were rescued by the police this morning when a passer-by heard the cry of seven-year-old Santosh.
The child, who was tied with a chain, was heard by a passer-by, who informed the police, leading to arrest of the owner of the room, Habibul and the factory manager Abdul Khan.
Interrogation of the arrested revealed that Habibul and Abdul, a resident of Sitamarhi, had lured these children - 10 year-old Raju, nine year old Jitender and Santosh- from their native homes, and housed them in a 10 by 10 room in New usmanpur where they were made to do embroidry work.
