Shia Board demands total ban on communal outfits

Lucknow, July 13 (UNI) Condemning the Mumbai bomb blasts, the All India Shia Personal Law Board (AISPLB) today demanded a total ban on all communal organisations operating in the country.

AISPLB founder secretary Maulana Hussain Qayyumi said such ''oppourtunistic outfits'' be banned forthwith without any discrimination.

He also expressed grave concern over rising terrorism and communalism in the country.

The Maulana said the Uttar Pradesh and Central governments should deal with terrorist organisations effectively irrespective of their religious affiliations.

''Opportunism is taking the country towards the dangerous path of terrorism. People must unite against it,'' he observed.

The Shia leader also condoled the victims of the recent bombings in Mumbai.
