Septuagenerian couple killed in accident

Kolhapur, July 13 (UNI) A septuagenerian couple was killed and three others injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed against a building wall along the road at Chile Colony here last night.

The deceased have been identified as Dattatraya Sathe (75) and his wife Sonabai (70) from Lotewadi village in Bhudargad tehsil of this district, who were the parents of Shivajirao Sathe, principal in a local college.

Principal Shivajirao, accompanied his parents, wife and college clerk, was proceeding towards Pachagaon-Raigad Colony in the car to show his new house to his parents when the mishap occurred.

All were rushed to the civil hospital immediately after the accident but Dattatraya died on the way to the hospital while Sonabai succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, police said.
