Notorious offenders nabbed

Hyderabad, Jul 13 (UNI) Police today arrested four notorious automobile and chain-snatching offenders and recovered two four-wheelers and gold ornaments worth Rs17 lakh.

Talking to newsmen here Hyderabad Additional commissioner of police (Crime) Rajiv Trivedi said the accused M Venkat Raj(22), Venkat Srinivas(20), Mohd Abdul Jaffar (22) and R Sreekanth (22) were held when they were riding a Hero Honda Splendur and Suzuki Max motorcycles under suspicious circumstances.

On interrogation they admitted that they had stolen the vehicles.

They also confessed that they stole two vans and 24 motor cycles.

Efforts were on to apprehend four of their absconding accomplices Rahul, Murthy, Muneer and Mallesh.
