Heavy Rainfall warning

Bangalore, July 13 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today.

Heavy Rainfall warning: Heavy rain may occur at a few places with isolated very heavy falls over Coastal Karnataka during next 48 hours. Heavy rain may also occur at isolated places over ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during the same period.

Monsoon was active over Coastal Karnataka and weak over North Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Very Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Bhatkal 17; Siddapura(Udupi dt) 14; Shirali 13.

Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Kollur, Agumbe, Nilkund 12 each; Gerusoppa 11; Kundapur 10; Bajpe, Karkala 8 each.

Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Mangalore Mani, Puttur, Udupi 6 each; Mulki, Panambur, Bantwal, Belthangadi, Dharmasthala, Sulya, Linganamakki, Kammardi, Devanahalli 5 each; Honavar, Bhagamandala , Sagar, Hosanagar, Hessarghatta 4 each.

Forecast valid until Saturday morning:Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin:Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka and at many places over ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Belgaum, Haveri, Dharwad districts of North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore: Generally cloudy. One or two spells of rain likely.
