Mother feeds poison to children, commits suicide

Sagar, MP, July 13 (UNI) Upset over her poor financial condition, a mother fed her four children with poison before consuming the substance herself and committing suicide at Motinagar in this district, police said.

Nimabai (35) fed poison to her three daughters and one son at 1000 hrs yesterday.

The mother and daughters Gudiya (3), Lakshmi (10) and Pooja (12) died while being taken to hospital, while Shubham (5) fought death for few hours before giving in.

Nimabai's husband Roop Patel is a labourer.

Station House Officer J P Mishra said Nimabai had some argument with her husband in the morning.
