Life term for kidnapping girl child

Patna, Jul 12 (UNI) A local court today sentenced life imprisonment to a man for kidnapping a girl for ransom in 2003.

After hearing arguments on both sides, Justice Kamal Kishore Sinha of Fast Track Court found the accused Nazim Akhoon alias Heera Akhoon guilty of kidnapping a two-year girl, Beauty.

The convict, a resident of West Bengal, had kidnapped the daughter of a buscuit factory owner on March 20, 2003, who was later recovered from Hugli on March 25, 2003. The convict was worker of the biscuit factory.
