Kerala HC directs CBI to reply on murder probe

Kochi, July 13 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today directed the CBI to file a reply by next week on a petition seeking to expedite the probe into the murder of two women inside their house at Mala.

Ms Fousia and her mother-in-law Nabeesa were murdered in March, 2004, and their ornaments were stolen.

Though the High Court entrusted the investigation of the case to the CBI more than a year ago, there was no breakthrough.

In the petition filed by K T Ismail, the brother of Fousia, it was submitted that there was no earnest investigation.
