Intl autolifting gang busted, 5 arrested
Siddharthnagar, July 13: Uttar Pradesh Police busted an international gang of auto-lifters with the arrest of five persons and seizure of five stolen vehicles in Shohratgarh police station area here.
One kg 'charas' and a countrymade pistol were also confiscated from the spot, police said yesterday.
The accused were arrested as soon as they crossed over to the Indian territory yesterday from Nepal.
Two of them -- Nandraj Pandey and Vikas Mishra -- hail from Kapilvastu district of Nepal, while Guddu, Rehman and Jai Prakash belong to Murchihava village of Balrampur district, UP.
Of four stolen vehicles recovered, four were lifted from Nepal.
Investigations were on.
