Identical faces cause confusion even in death

Jagadhari, July 13 (UNI) A family in a Haryana village faced a piquant situation outdoing even the Bollywood ''identical-faces'' capers.

According to reports here, a 65-year-old man had died at the local civil hospital here. On making enquiries, the Yamunagar district's Sadar police found that the deceased was Phool Chand of Panjovar village. When called, Phool Chand's wife and children identified the body.

However, the body was not released. Phool Chand's family was mourning his death at home, when to their utter surprise, he returned and asked them, ''who has died?'' On knowing that it was his ''own'' death that was being mourned, Phool Chand was first taken aback, but later surmised that a man in neighbouring Gulabgarh whose name was Sonu could have died as they both closely resembled which had caused confusion even earlier.

The relatives of Sonu later identified the body.
