Four Hindus killed in Poonch

Poonch July 13 (UNI) Militants gunned down four Hindus, including two women, in Mangnar village last night in this border district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

Police sources said militants struck at a house around 2230 hrs and shot dead two people from the minority community. They killed two more people in an attack on another house and fled under the cover of darkness. Two people were injured in the attack.

The deceased have been indentified as Lokesh Kumar (20), Pankaj Kumar (17), Priyanka Sharma (18) and Meenakshi Sharma (8). The injured have been admitted to civil hospital here.

Senior officials have rushed to the spot. The area around the village has been sealed and combing operations are on to nab the culprits.
