Exhibition to benefit weavers

Rajahmundry, July 13 (UNI) A ten-day long district level handloom exhibition cum-sales will be held here from July 14 to 23 to encourage handloom sales, according to Mr K Chandra Rao, Assistant Director, Handlooms and Textiles, Kakinada.

Addressing a press conference, Mr Rao said the ten-day exhibition would provide market facility for handloom weavers to enable them to sell their products through a direct link with consumers, avoiding middleman and traders.

The weavers can also understand the market trends and tastes by direct contact with consumers in major towns. They can also make their products, according to the demands of the consumer.
