Counselling for MBBS and BDS courses begins tomorrow
Vijayawada, July 13 (UNI) The counselling for filling up 3,500 MBBS and 820 BDS seats for 2006-2007 would be held at five centres in Andhra Pradesh tomorrow.
Talking to UNI, Dr NTR University of Health Sciences Registrar P Jayakar Babu said about 10,055 rank holders seeking admission to the courses would attend the counselling at any one of the five centres of their choice at JNT University, Osmania University in Hyderabad, Andhra University in Visakhapatnam, Acharaya Nagarjuna University in Guntur and Sri Venketeswara University, Tirupati.
The counselling for open competition seats in Government and private colleges in phase one would be conducted from July 14 to 16 and rank holders from one to 6,000 would be called on the same days.
He said in phase two and three (re-allotment of colleges to the reserved category candidates like BCs, SCs and STs selected under OC and seats reserved for BCs, SCs and STs) would be from July 17 to 20.
On July 17, counselling for candidates of four BC categories--A, B C and D, SC and ST would be held from rank one to 4,000, and on July 18 candidates of BC-A and BC-D would be called for counselling from 4,001 to 16,000 and 4,001 to 14,000 ranks, respectively.
Rank holders from 4,001 to 15,000 of BC-B and BC-C would be called on July 19 and those from 4,001 to 21,000 of SC and 4,001 to 40,000 for ST on July 20, Mr Babu said.
