BJP blames UPA govt for terrorism

Allahabad, July 13 (UNI) BJP today alleged that wrong policies of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the centre was responsible for terrorism.

Talking to newspersons here, Uttar Pradesh BJP president Kesari Nathi Tripathi said the ''Muslim appeasement policies'' of UPA and the Samajwadi Party-led UP government were responsible for terrorist activities.

''UP is on the heap of explosives and terrorists are active in 34 districts. Bomb blasts in Sabarmati Express, Ayodhya and Varanasi are its glaring examples.'' He claimed the terrorists knww there was no check on them, so they can easily play with innocent lives.'' The BJP leader alleged the Congress and SP governments were giving shelter and adopting soft corner towards terrorists for the dirty politics of vote.

Meanwhile, Mr Tripathi demanded a CBI inquiry into the mysterious death of Shashikant Rai, the sole eye-witness in the murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai. ''There seems a conspiracy in his sudden death, which is not a natural death.'' In reply to a question, he said the two-day national executive of the Bharatiya Janshankti Party at Allahabad on July 23-24 would have no effect on BJP.

''Many people, who had left BJP and joined that party are now fed-up and trying to return,'' Mr Tripathi maintained.
