Aztec reports 41 pc increase in Q1 revenue
Bangalore, Jul 13: Aztec Software and Technology Services today announced a 41 per cent growth in revenue at Rs 59.48 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal, with net profits at Rs 9.27 crore growing by 26 per cent.
Sequentially, the revenue grew by eight per cent compared to the previous quarter, which saw an earning of Rs 54.96 crore. However, the net profit was lower when compared to Rs 10.53 crore of the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
During the quarter, Aztec added 16 new clients with a good mix of large and small companies, to increase the total active client count to 80. The client additions include business leaders in data management, middleware, media streaming, large e-commerce portal and wireless. The quarter saw significant customer inclusions in wireless domain, the latest addition to Aztec portfolio.
During the current quarter, Aztec's human capital stood at 2,118, compared to 2005 at the end of the previous fiscal.
Announcing the results, Aztec Chairman K B Chandrasekhar said ''We continue to make strategic investments in sales and marketing.
We are in the path of a strong growth and continue to make strategic choices of creating multiple drivers for accelerating growth. We will also expand into newer technologies, business segments to drive our future business.''
