ATS recovers leads; investigation followed up
Mumbai, July 13 (UNI) The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) probing the Tuesday's serial train bomb blasts today said it has received some 'clues and leads'.
Joint Commissioner of Police R P Raghuvanshi, who is also the in-charge of ATS, told mediapersons here that, ''We have some leads and the investigating team is following them up.'' To a poser, he said some electronic material has been recovered from the site of Mahim blast, which has been sent for chemical analysis. He, however, declined to divulge further details of the investigation.
Meanwhile, a senior ATS officer told UNI over the phone that they had recovered several electronic chip in the blast-hit coaches, which could have been used to trigger the explosion. Since such blasts are of high intensity, therefore, as soon as the blast takes place, the material used in it also gets burnt, he said.
