Assistant Director held taking bribe

Narsinghpur, MP, July 13 (UNI) Fisheries department Assistant Director G P Mehra was caught redhanded by the Lokayukta officials while taking bribe of Rs 5,000 from a villager here yesterday.

Additional Sessions Judge R K Nagpure remanded Mehra, along with office peon Rameshwar Kakad, who mediated in taking bribe, to judicial custody till July 24.

Official sources said the bribe was demanded for leasing out a pond to Chhagganlal Jatav of Anjsara village near Sihora.
