Arcot Nawab condemns Mumbai blasts

Chennai, July 13 (UNI) Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali today condemned the recent serial blasts at Mumbai and said such incidents should be put down with iron hand.

In a statement here, he said the incident was an act of cowardice and savagery and urged the Government to bring the culprits to the book, without fear or favour.

He also called for a thorough, fair and impartial probe into the blasts.

The All India Christian Council also condemned the blasts and said such mindless violence was aimed at creating a divide between the communities.

''Our hearts go out to the victims, the injured and the relatives of the dead, as we pray for peace and courage in the face of this dastardly conspiracy'', the council said in a statement.
