6 carcasses of National Bird recovered
Mahoba, July 13 (UNI) The local police have recovered at least six carcasses of peacock at Ujledi village in Charkhari area of the district.
Some villagers had reportedly killed several dozens peacocks by giving them poisoned foodgrains.
However, so far only six carcasses, including that of four male birds, have been found.
Forest officer Ramraj Gautam said it was likely that the birds were given poison yesterday.
He said that based on the information provided by the villagers, the culprits were being identified.
