5 villagers killed in bomb blast

Gwalior, July 13 (UNI) Five villagers were killed today when a bomb exploded at the Air Force's firing range at 'Bhogiram ka Pura' village in Behat police station area in this district, police said.

Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Sharma said some villagers had picked two bombs from the firing range and called Bhind-resident Sumer Singh (35) to defuse the bombs. The bomb exploded while it was being defused.

Sumer Singh, Gorelal (50), Rajesh Kushwah (15), Faujdar Singh Kushwah (25) and Keshav Singh Kushwah (35) were killed on the spot.

Mr Sharma said a bomb disposal squad had been called to defuse another bomb recovered from the spot.
