16-year-old raped by police

Jammu, July 13 (UNI) Police have arrested one person for allegedly raping a teenager at Mendhar in Poonch district while his accomplice, a police personnel, is absconding.

The victim, 16, her father and nephew were offered food laced with some intoxicants. As the three fell unconscious, the duo raped the girl.

Police said the accused have been identified as Mohammad Alyas and a policeman, Basharat Khan A police team has rushed to the spot. The victim along with her relatives has been hospitalised, the police added.
