V P Singh urges govt to strengthen security, punish blast culprits

New Delhi, July 12 (UNI) Former Prime Minister V P Singh today condemned the serial blasts in Mumbai and urged the government to strengthen the security measures and punish those responsible for the attacks.

In a statement released here, Mr Singh asked the government to provide maximum help to the affected families.

''My heart felt sympathies to all those who have lost their loved ones in this terrible tragedy. I appeal to the people of our country to stay calm in this hour of grief and jointly fight terrorism,'' Mr Singh said.
